Montcalm Conservation District

Owen graduated from Michigan State University’s Forestry program and has spent time working for a couple private conservation organizations in northern Michigan and Wisconsin, various tree services, a cherry farm, an Alaskan fishing vessel, and other miscellaneous positions. In his free time, you might find him camping at Lake Michigan or Lake Superior, playing pool and chess, befriending cats, kayaking, reading, or exploring local trails, seeking out native plants, mushrooms, dragonflies, birds, and everything beautiful.

As the District Forester for Montcalm Conservation District, Owen assists private landowners with forest management, wildlife habitat restoration and related objectives in Montcalm County.
